From the Manger Children's Moments

Hunger is a universal human experience, drawing attention to both our basic needs for nourishment and deeper needs for peace, liberation, and meaning. From the Manger reflects on the playful symbolism of Jesus being laid in a feeding trough in Bethlehem, the “House of Bread,” inviting us to consider how the baby born in a bread town continues to feed a hungry world today. This Advent resource is designed to inspire, empower, and nourish your community and can be used on its own or alongside other From the Manger products.

If you're looking for creative ways to journey through Advent with the youngest in your congregation during worship, From the Manger Children's Moments gives you everything you need. With your purchase of this resource, you'll receive five original full-color illustrations and a leader guide. The leader guide provides you with a children's moment for each illustration: an introduction, questions, discussion, and a prayer.

How You Can Use It

From the Manger Children's Moments can be used during worship for a Children's Moment or Time with Children. If your church provides another opportunity for children during worship (e.g., Children's Church), this resource can be adapted for that as well.

If your congregation has its own traditions regarding children's moments, perhaps Advent is a time to try something new and provide another opportunity for the children to connect with the From the Manger theme.
